My name is Jen. I have a crochet business called MoonHunter's Designs and yet I go by CorduroyMagician... I think I took up the wrong hobby XD I'll be posting as many projects here as I can, including any issues I had with them but this will also be a blog about my life and what's happening with it. I have bags upon bags of yarn... I just haven't gotten the chance to upload them all into Ravelry. Besides, I also lost some of the labels.

tiny hat

So I was sitting up at Village Inn last night with Terry, Erica, and Mike and I brought my crochet stuff with me to work on while we partook of Pie Rush Wednesday. I decided to work the granny flap pattern with USF colors. USF is literally around the corner from my house and Terry had suggested making a few things with those colors to kick off MoonHunter's Designs. Great idea! AND Red Heart has their SOFT yarn which has the perfect 2 colors.

Unfortunately I was working the pattern from memory and I missed a step. It looks great so far... but its turning into a small hat AND I'm about to run out of my green yarn. So this is the work in progress shot for it. I hope you enjoy. I'll post the finished whenever I get more yarn.

A new begining

Let's try something new... Why not, the new year approaches and brings with it the prospect of change. I can hope to the goddess that it's good change - I need some.

Since I've been in such high gear with my crochet - let's see what I can do with it. I'll attach this blog to Ravelry and Facebook and go from there. I'll get my new business cards made, a few of the USF colors out there and pray for a little business. Short of the moon and M I just made, I don't have anything today that I've done.

I do still have a shrug and a poncho to make. The shrug will be the 3rd time restarting it. It just doesn't want to work, which is pathetic for such a simple pattern. I think it's the yarn that doesn't agree with the pattern however. It's too thick to lay correctly so I'll have to try a different pattern. The poncho won't take me long at all, and as long as it's finished before February then we're good.
